MacGuide, OpenGuide, WinGuide, PowerGuide, HyperGuide, and NexGuide family of publications

The SuperSource®

MacGuide Magazine
began in 1985, and for several years was the principal listing of most of the applications available on the Macintosh platform. As the Macintosh user base grew and as the Internet became readily available, application listing became less salient and commentary more central. The early MacGuide publisher encountered business difficulties and Elan Associates acquired MacGuide. Elan now publishes MacGuide, with its commentary on computers, computerization, technology, and diverse other subjects.

MacGuide® magazine and related publications in the MacGuide® family are produced entirely with Macintosh computers and software. MacGuide® is published by Élan Associates, 79 West Monroe St #1310, Chicago IL 60603-4931.
